Description

This camp is designed for players who are currently in or looking to move into more advanced youth soccer environments.  The camp is built around the teaching model of guided discovery.  Young players will receive instruction from experienced youth development coaches as well as college coaches.  

 
Campers will be challenged in training sessions designed to teach and reinforce important details around playing principles (possession for penetration, combination play, finishing, etc.) Creativity, enthusiasm and fun are all key factors emphasized in this development environment!

HOUSING AND MEALS:

Campers will stay in dorms on the UCF Campus and will be roomed by age group. There will be at least one staff member per floor to ensure proper supervision. Campers will eat Lunch and Dinner at the Marketplace cafeteria on UCF’s campus, where the wide selection of choices and cafeteria style set-up allow for unlimited portions. Breakfast will be provided in the common area of the occupied dorms (Fruit, Bagels, Granola Bars, PB&J, etc.).  A snack bar located in the dorms will be available each night to provide additional refreshments for purchase after the evening matches. 


ROOMMATE REQUESTS:

During registration you will have the option to enter a roommate preference.  We take these requests very seriously and will do everything possible to fulfill all requests.***

WHAT TO BRING:

– Soccer Ball (Unless Purchased).  Every camper is responsible for his own ball.  

– Water Bottle (Unless Purchased).  To prevent waste from disposable cups, every camper should bring his own water bottle to fill up at the provided water stations.  Cups will not be provided.  

– Extra long twin size bed linens and pillow

– TOWELS, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, SUNSCREEN, deodorant

– Cleats & Flat-soled shoes/sneakers

– Shin Guards

– Watch – it is recommended that each camper bring an inexpensive watch to assist him in keeping on schedule.

– Five day supply of socks, underwear, shirts and shorts. (There are three training sessions per day).  No ‘dress clothes’ are required.

– Rain jacket

– Contact lenses and solution

– A small bag to carry your ball, shoes, etc. to field


Camp Store: 

UCF Soccer gear will be available for purchase.  We recommend each camper brings $50 spending money for snacks and pizza, more if the camper wants to buy souvenirs while he is at camp.  We will not have a camp bank and will not accept credit cards.  The camp store and snack bar, located inside of the dorms will be open in the evening.

LSC Soccer Development and Knights Soccer Camp IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MONEY OR OTHER VALUABLES.  We suggest that campers mark all belongings with name tags and LEAVE EXPENSIVE ITEMS AT HOME. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE SHOULD SUCH ITEMS BE LOST OR STOLEN.


COMMUTER CAMPERS:

Other than pick up and drop off, commuter campers will be on the exact same schedule as the residential campers.  They will eat Lunch and Dinner with the rest of the campers (breakfast not provided to commuter campers), and they will stay with their team/age group throughout.  Check-In for all campers including commuters will be 11:00am – 1pm.


Sign in / Sign out for Commuter Campers:

Commuters should check-in at designated location (TBD) each day at 8am and should check-out at 8:30pm at designated location (TBD).  We will have a staff member in place to check in and check out.  All commuter campers should both check in and check out every day.


AIRPORT SHUTTLE:  

Airport shuttle will not be provided through Knights Soccer Camp.  Please see MCO transportation information page: https://www.orlandoairports.net/parking-transportation/


LOST KEYS:

There is a $50 lost key fine imposed by the University of Central Florida housing department. If room key is not returned at check-out time, your account online will be charged a $50 fee. Cash or Check at time of check-out will be accepted also.

Campers Parking for entire Week:

A limited number of parking passes will be available at check-in.  These will be one day parking passes, will cost $5 per day and will provide access to an uncovered lot.  Please bring cash to check-in if you are interested in purchasing a parking pass.  Lot will be provided at check-in.

***LSC Soccer Development and Knights Soccer Camp is held privately from the University and will not be held responsible for any illegal parking nor reimburse any violations due to illegal parking.***


ACT OF MOTHER NATURE POLICY:

As a part of the online registration process, each registrant completed and e-signed our Act of Mother Nature Policy before completing the registration process.  

Act of Mother Nature Policy:  In the event that camp is cancelled due to any Act of Mother Nature including Hurricanes, Tropical Storms, Tropical Depressions, etc. each registrant of said camp will receive full camp credit for a future Knights Soccer Camp.  


CANCELLATION POLICY:

As a part of the online registration process, each registrant will complete and e-sign our Cancellation Policy before completing the registration process.  

Cancellation Policy:  No refund will be provided to registrants cancelling within the time period of 7 days prior to the start of camp.  A cancellation fee of $100 will be applied to any cancelled registration made before the time period of 7 days prior to camp, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the registrant’s account.  Dismissal due to disciplinary action will also result in no refund.  

OTHER REFUND POLICIES: 

Every effort will be made to secure the safety of all campers and every effort will be made to make up any missed field sessions due to weather.  There will be no refunds issued for missed training sessions.

Once camp begins, there will be no refunds issued of any kind.
